This is the Saiho series of gamaguchi (clasp-style) jewelry pouches. Made with classic Ungen-pattern fabric, it has an elegant and timeless look. Despite its compact size, it can neatly carry necklaces, earrings, piercings, rings, charms, small brooches, and other accessories.

The gamaguchi design opens and closes with one touch, and its wide opening makes it easy to see and reach what is inside. A built-in gusset helps prevent items from falling out, even when the pouch is fully open. It also acts as a cushion, making it less likely for accessories to get caught in the metal clasp.

The Ungen pattern is a traditional Japanese design featuring gradual shades of a color, often arranged in stripes. Historically used in noble garments and decorations, it adds elegance and depth to modern items such as coin purses.

Use it to keep jewelry organized while traveling or on the go, as a daily pouch in your handbag, or as a thoughtful gift for someone who loves accessories.

The name Saiho (彩包) was chosen to express the idea of a pouch that gently wraps and protects your colorful accessories.

The idea for this series came from my own everyday experience. I used to carry a necklace in a slim gamaguchi pouch without a gusset, but I often encountered small inconveniences: the chain slipped out through a tiny gap, it nearly got caught in the clasp, or it felt like it might fall out when I opened the pouch wide.

Since I’ve always loved the classic shape of a gamaguchi, I wanted to solve those frustrations and create something that allows accessories to be carried safely and comfortably. Adding an inner gusset was the key—it solves those problems and makes the pouch much more practical and secure.

I hope this little pouch will gently protect your favorite accessories and add a touch of charm to your everyday life.

Size: 4.5 cm (6.0 cm) × 6.5 cm × 1.0 cm / 1.8 in (2.4 in) × 2.6 in × 0.4 in. The measurements in parentheses include the clasp knob. The interior dimensions are slightly smaller due to construction.
